What personal data I collect and why I collect it

I collect your name and email address (through the pop-up form that you might have seen if you visit the blog post) for no other purpose than to send you future blog posts. Your information is kept securely in MailChimp (my newsletter transmission service) and I can remove it anytime you wish.

Contact forms

My contact forms are sent directly to me. They are not sent to a third party or to a social media manager. I (Jason Stadtlander) am the only one that sees the data and I am the one who built this site.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. This includes Google Ads (which is part of my Ads program) and Facebook (which handles my comments platform).

Analytics

I use Google Analytics to track the visitors to my website, however, I do not share this information with anyone as I do not provide any outside advertising. My blog is purely my outlet for my own writing. It is not a means for me to make money. The only monetization that I use on my blog is Google AdSense which utilizes cookies provided by Google. AdSense’s funds are only used to maintain the hosting and platform for this blog.

I take my visitor’s privacy and data very seriously, so please do not hesitate to contact me on my about page if you have any questions or concerns regarding privacy or your data usage.
