Jason Stadtlander works across fiction and photography, exploring the human figure and human circumstance with the same attention. His novels and short fiction examine connection, moral tension, and consequence; his photographs reduce the body to light and shadow, allowing the light to determine what remains.

His writing has appeared in Inspiration Unlimited, Practical Parenting, and The Huffington Post. His photographs have been exhibited in New York, Massachusetts, North Carolina, California, and Arizona. A solo exhibition, “Held Within”, opens at the Marblehead Arts Association in January 16, 2027.

Stadtlander has worked with the human figure for nearly twenty years, as both photographer and model, a duality that informs how his photographic practice engages the body.

He is based in northern Massachusetts.
